Privacy and your data
Some people prefer to keep their community involvement private. We built this site to respect that.
Private by default
Your membership is private. Your name appears on a founders’ wall or member directory only if you give permission.
Double opt-in
An email address is not on our list until its owner clicks a confirmation link and presses Confirm.
What we collect
Your name, email, town, language, and interests, plus what you tell us in forms and RSVPs. We also record what you agreed to, when, and from which form.
What we never do
We do not sell or share our list. We do not use ad trackers or social media pixels. Partner groups reach you only through our own announcements.
Form logs
To stop spam we keep a log of form posts, including IP address and browser details, for 90 days, and then delete it.
Cookies
One small cookie protects forms from forgery. It holds a random value and nothing about you.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is recorded and honored right away.
Your data
You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will do it within 30 days. A self-service portal is planned.
